Girls spent a good part of yesterday learning the art of building a wood-and-canvas canoe. Here, they are celebrating the completion of a very fun and collaborative part of the process — steam-bending and attaching cedar canoe ribs over the form. They are working on the fourth wood-and-canvas canoe ever built at camp! What an amazing accomplishment. Campers will begin nailing planking over their freshly bended ribs today. In others news, our Allagash Canoe groups are preparing for departure on their wilderness extended trips. All is well at Fourth Debsconeag Lake!
