The Wintergreen yurt has safely returned from their 3 day trip to Nahmakanta Lake. They slept in tents, cooked by fire, caught frogs and crickets, learned to tie bowlines and clove hitches, jumped in the water, canoed and hiked. We welcome them safely back to 4th Debsconeag Lake. Today started with sun, then rain, then sun, followed by downpour and then it turned into a beautiful day. The waterfront was active and alive. Several campers finished carving and sanding their paddles and moved on to painting. Varnish is the next step and then using them the final step. Evening activity included a campfire with a reading of The Lorax as well as fresh baked goods.
