The Saltwater Session is well underway. We welcomed campers and their families this morning between 9-11am. We are looking forward to a week of fun, adventure, and new friends on Chewonki Neck in Wiscasset. We enjoyed a delicious lunch of sandwiches (on homemade bread – which was still warm from the oven), turkey/ham or hummus, and veggis (straight from our farm). I was lucky enough to eat with some of the girls who stated “this is the best sandwich I have ever had!” I know they are looking forward to ravioli for dinner this evening. After lunch the girls enjoyed an hour of rest in their yurts. I met up with the girls after rest hour to capture the images below. They all look like they are doing well. Their bags were unpacked, beds made, and are settling in. The rain has stopped and the air is warm, which is great as the girls are now doing group challenges with their yurt groups outside. After that, they will work on creating their introduction skit for tonight’s campground. The campfire should be a great, silly, and song filled adventure for the evening. More updates on the adventures of the Saltwater Adventure girls to come.
