This morning this pair of loons was out and about fishing. Fresh from rain and a little gray, the conditions were just right for fishing. Seeing these two out and about, I decided to spend some of my morning observing the loons. As I followed them around the point, they were having good luck fishing. This one looked over. Perhaps to invite me to join them for breakfast? perhaps to ask why I was there? A staring contest? After coming around the point, almost to the swim area, they decided to head out to the deeper part of the lake. Loons just give me a peaceful feeling. I feel lucky to hear them while I am at Debsoneag. Luckier to have seen them and observed them this morning. Their white chests and underbellies (white so they blend in with the waves and fish can’t see them from below) are so soothing and seemingly smooth and silky.
