Ravioli was a hit last night. So was campfire! Lots of silliness prevailed. They learned the camp cheer, successfully introduced themselves to the larger group with creativity, and sang their hearts out with the Ratland Bog song.
This morning activities included the Barn Climb and the Human History hike around campus. The girls are now, as I write this, down at our waterfront doing their swim tests. Luckily the sun is shining, thus the waterfront gleaming. I imagine we will have quite a few swimmers with us at open swim this afternoon during choice block.
After another delicious meal in the dining hall, the girls will go back to their yurts for rest hour. After rest hour the activities are woodcraft, nature, swimming, and outdoor cooking.
Tonight the girls will gather for an Outreach presentation learning about the live animals that have been rehabilitated and now are living on Chewonki Neck.
Another full day! Here are some images to enjoy. Note, we will also be posting images onto our flickr site.
The climbing barn is AWESOME!!!
To all the saltwater campers: HAVE FUN!
